Bridgeman Construction is delighted to announce the commencement of a major renovation project at Cheynes Farm, a grade II listed building set in the heart of the Hertfordshire Countryside.
Dating back to the 16th century, Cheynes Farm is a site of considerable historical importance. The estate comprises of the main farmhouse, a self-contained cottage, and several traditional outbuildings. Over the course of an estimated two-year programme, the entire property will undergo a comprehensive and carefully managed restoration to safeguard its distinctive architectural character.
The works will sensitively combine the careful restoration of the original features with modern techniques to secure the future of the building.
Working alongside Norton Studio Architects, specialists in historic and sustainable buildings, we are dedicated to maintaining the historical integrity of Cheynes Farm at every stage of the project.
Construction is now in progress with excavation and drainage works underway.
Here at Bridgeman Construction, we remain committed to delivering high-quality heritage restorations with care, precision and respect for the building’s history.
We look forward to sharing further updates and photography as the project develops.
